Chaturbate Review 2026: Free Rooms, 8-11 Cent Tokens and a Texas Settlement

Chaturbate separates watching from paying. Anyone can open a public room without an account, and tokens are only needed to tip, join a private show, spy on one or join a fan club.

Tipping is the engine of the whole model. Broadcasters set tip goals and tip menus, and the terms describe token tips as a gratuity that is final when sent.

Viewers cannot demand specific acts in return for tips, and the terms warn that doing so can lead to bans.

Broadcasters can offer several show types: public shows, private shows billed per minute at a rate the broadcaster selects, spy shows, premium privates, and password-protected or ticketed shows, according to the help center's show-types page.

The help center confirms only a few prices. A Supporter membership bonus is described as "200 free tokens (worth $20.99)", which works out to about 10.5 cents per token.

Wire transfers (minimum $250) are credited at $0.08 per token, and crypto purchases need at least 250 tokens.

The standard card packs sit behind a login. A third-party price guide reports the figures below, so treat them as reported and check the live checkout before buying.

Larger packs are cheaper per token, so heavy tippers pay least. The help center adds that VAT may be included and that the final price appears at checkout.

An optional Auto Refill setting tops up your balance when it falls below 10% of your last purchase, for card payments only. It is worth leaving off if you want a hard spending limit.

Chaturbate does not publish a single private-show rate. Each broadcaster sets a per-minute price, sometimes with a minimum length, so the same ten minutes can cost very different amounts.

The table shows simple arithmetic at illustrative rates of 30, 60 and 90 tokens per minute. These are examples, not Chaturbate prices, and dollar figures use 9 cents (a mid-range reported pack) and 10.5 cents (the official 200-token figure).

Spy shows, fan clubs and tips come on top. Fan club memberships are set by each broadcaster and renew monthly until cancelled, according to the terms.

The help center says tokens convert to cash at $0.05 each, so 100 tokens equal $5.00. There is no stated percentage split.

Against the 8 to 11 cents viewers pay, the broadcaster's fixed rate works out to roughly 45% to 63% of what a viewer spent, depending on the pack.

Pay periods run from the 1st to the 15th and from the 16th to month end, with payment sent within 7 days of a period closing.

The minimum is $50 for Paxum, CosmoPayment, mailed check, Canada EFT and ACH, and $200 for Bitcoin and FedEx check. A daily payout option starts at $20 plus a $3.95 fee, and the threshold can be set between $50 and $50,000.

Chaturbate publishes no earnings figures that this review could verify, so no income range is given. Income depends on audience, schedule and tipping, and the fixed $0.05 rate is the only number in the documents.

The terms say the platform is open only to adults who have reached the greater of 18 or the age of majority in their jurisdiction.

They add a zero-tolerance policy for minors, and say suspected cases are reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Broadcasters must verify age with a government photo ID (a plastic ID, driver's licence or passport; expired, temporary or military IDs and birth certificates are not accepted) plus a face-only selfie, per the help center.

The terms also tell broadcasters that sexually explicit imagery they post triggers record-keeping duties under 18 U.S.C. 2257, including a compliance statement.

For viewers, Chaturbate uses Incode for age verification where laws require it, a step reported after the Texas case. Whether you meet a check depends on where you connect from.

The terms also let people ask for removal of content they appear in and did not consent to share.

On 19 March 2024 the Texas Attorney General sued Multi Media, LLC under that state's HB 1181 age-verification law. The case settled on 26 April 2024 with a $675,000 penalty and an age-verification commitment, according to the Attorney General's announcement.

On 15 May 2025 a Kansas parent sued Chaturbate and three other sites under Kansas's 2024 age-verification law, alleging a 14-year-old son had accessed them. Local press reported that Multi Media called the claim baseless. No outcome was found.

On 22 July 2025 a former content moderator filed a proposed class action against Multi Media and a support-services contractor, alleging psychological harm from moderating without adequate protections. These are allegations in a court filing, not findings.

The help center lists Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards, wire transfer, money order or certified check, cryptocurrency (BTC, LTC, DOGE, ETH, BCH, AVAX and DOT), PayGarden gift cards and "over 37" other methods that vary by location. Personal checks are not accepted.

The terms say your payment method is billed only as you request and not on a recurring basis unless stated, which applies to fan clubs. Billing errors should be reported within 30 days or they may be deemed accepted.

Unused deposits can be withdrawn through support, less third-party charges.
