Fetish.com Review 2026: Free Messaging, €19.99 App Plans and Hong Kong Owner

Fetish.com combines a kink social network with dating tools. Members get profiles, a forum, a Fetish Search tool, and event and munch listings.

The site's imprint names Ideawise Limited, a Hong Kong company, as the operator. Support is handled by SmH Servicecenter.de GmbH in Berlin, and payments and debt collection by Compay GmbH in Erkrath, Germany, which the imprint calls a wholly owned subsidiary.

The English site is the sister of the German-language fetisch.de, and a language switch offers English and German. Its scene pages cover UK, US and Canadian cities as well as European ones, so it is not a Europe-only product.

The same operator publishes the FET app, which the site promotes with a smart banner. Fans of FetLife-style communities will recognise the forum-and-events model, though Fetish.com leans more toward dating. See our FetLife review for the community-only alternative.

The homepage advertises free membership with "24/7 free messaging, chatting and image sharing". The forum, Fetish Search, events and munches are also listed as free.

That contradicts the common claim that Fetish.com limits messaging on the free tier. On the documents checked, free members can talk without paying.

The terms describe paid "Premium, VIP and Dominatrix Memberships". They say prices appear only in the logged-in price overview, and the feature split between tiers is not published publicly.

So the honest answer to "what does paying unlock?" is: not stated on public pages. Anyone deciding should register free and read the in-account overview before paying.

Web prices are behind login, so they are unverified here. The only published prices come from the FET app's App Store listing.

• One month: $18.49 / €19.99 / £17.99
• Six months: $63.99 / €69.99 / £63.99
• Twelve months: $90.99 / €99.99 / £90.99

The US in-app list also shows a one-week item at $6.99 and points packs, with 1,000 points at $6.99 and 10,000 at $44.99. Other US monthly and 12-month items appear at different price points, so the app list is not a single clean price sheet.

The 12-month euro price works out to about €8.33 a month. Older figures of €9.99 a month and €6.99 on annual billing could not be matched to any current source.

Under the terms, paid plans extend for the same period unless cancelled. EU members have a 14-day withdrawal right unless they waive it.

Age verification is optional and offered in several ways. Options include a video with an official ID showing date of birth, a Yoti age estimation or ID check, and in Germany a €0.99 bank-transfer PIN checked by Schufa.

Members can also verify their profile with a photo of the face plus a hand. The terms still say the site "does not guarantee the real identity of a member", so a verified badge is not proof of who is behind a profile.

On privacy, the signup form asks for consent to process sensitive data "in a country outside the European Economic Area". The privacy policy says some data is kept as long as German and People's Republic of China law require.

That rules out describing Fetish.com as a "GDPR-native" or EU-built privacy product. German law governs the contract and payments run through a German subsidiary, but the operator is in Hong Kong.

No data breach, regulator action or payment-processor ban was found in news and breach-database searches in October 2026. Absence of reports is not a security guarantee, and the site's encryption and two-factor options are not documented in the sources checked.

The official app is called FET and is published by Ideawise. On iOS it is "FET: Kinky BDSM Dating App", rated 18+, first released in November 2019.

The App Store showed 4.3 stars from about 25,000 ratings in October 2026. Google Play lists "FET: Connect, Date & Explore" with 1M+ downloads, 4.1 stars from about 21,400 reviews, and a "Contains ads" label.

These are app-wide numbers from store listings, not a measure of the Fetish.com website itself. They are the only public satisfaction figures found.

FetLife is the larger community network and is free to use with an optional paid support tier. Fetish.com differs by pairing the community with dating tools and an official store app.

Alt.com is a paid-dating personals site with a free Standard tier and no official app. KinkD is a mobile-only swipe app, so it suits a different habit.

Broader roundups are in our best fetish dating sites ranking and the sites like FetLife guide. Read the Alt.com review and KinkD review for the alternatives.

The strongest point is the free core. Messaging, chat, forum and events cost nothing, so a newcomer can judge local activity before paying.

The weakest point is pricing transparency. Web prices are login-gated, and the only visible prices are the app's, which are high for a single month.

Verification is a mixed signal. The options are real, but they are optional, and the terms disclaim any identity guarantee.

This review is based on documents and listings checked in October 2026: the Fetish.com homepage, imprint, terms and privacy policy, the App Store and Google Play listings for the FET app, and news and breach-database searches.

No account was created, no subscription was bought and the platform was not used directly. Sub-scores therefore rest on documented features and third-party store ratings, which gives them lower confidence than a tested review.

Facts the sources do not state, such as web prices, are marked as unverified rather than estimated.
