DreamGF Review 2026: Strong Images, a $25.99 Renewal and a 2023 Controversy

No DreamGF subscription was purchased and no first-hand use informs it; instead, the company's own pages were checked on 6 October 2026 — the pricing and checkout page, the terms of service, the privacy policy and the blocked-content policy, plus its feature pages — alongside primary reporting (404 Media, October 2023) and public listings (Trustpilot, the App Store).

Prices, the operator, token costs and policy wording are taken from those documents and quoted where they matter.

What that means for the scores: the factual sub-scores (pricing, safety) rest on primary documents, while the quality sub-scores (features, usability, content) rest on documented capabilities and third-party consensus rather than first-hand use, so they carry lower confidence.

Where the previous version made observations that could not be stood behind, they were removed.

DreamGF's pitch is control. You pick a companion from a gallery or build one in its AI girls builder — appearance, body, age range, hair, outfit, personality and voice — then chat, generate images on demand, and use voice on paid plans.

The breadth of customisation is the clearest reason to choose it over a more locked-down app, and it is squarely an 18+ product, unlike Replika (a filtered emotional companion).

Image generation is the headline. DreamGF produces images across realistic, anime and "2.5D" styles, including nude and explicit images of your fictional companion on paid plans, and it is widely regarded as one of the stronger image generators among AI girlfriend apps.

Voice is available as messages and calls, and a "Shorts" section offers short AI video clips — though DreamGF is not a full video-generation product.

One thing it is not built around is long-term memory: there is no documented persistent, cross-session memory system of the kind that memory-first apps such as Kindroid (Cascaded Memory) and Nomi AI market, so companions are better at looking the part than holding a long back-story.

DreamGF carries the category's clearest documented ethics concern.

On 6 October 2023, 404 Media reported that DreamGF was "randomly making some girlfriends look like Jennifer Lopez and other celebrities without their consent" — generating non-consensual nude images of real public figures, sometimes unprompted, alongside anatomically broken results.

The underlying cause was training data: an image model can reproduce a real person even when no one asks for it.

DreamGF's current blocked-content policy prohibits content that impersonates "real individuals, public figures, or celebrities in a deceptive or harmful manner", and separately bans content that resembles minors. That is the state of the rules today.

It is worth reading the policy closely, though: it stops short of an explicit, standalone ban on non-consensual sexual depictions or deepfakes — the impersonation rule is qualified with "deceptive or harmful", and the clearest hard line is the one on minors.

For an adult platform with this specific history, that gap is worth knowing before you create anything.

DreamGF's price has two moving parts. First, every paid plan is sold at a low first payment and then renews at the equivalent of about $25.99 a month. Second, a 100-token monthly allowance meters the best features on top of the subscription.

Tokens pay for the extras. Every paid plan includes 100 tokens a month; an image costs about 10 tokens, a voice message about 3, a voice call about 7 a minute, and creating a companion about 20.

So 100 tokens is roughly 10 images, or about 14 minutes of calls. Extra token packs are one-off purchases from about $2.99 to $179.99.

Prices were checked on DreamGF's pricing page in October 2026; they are promotional and vary, so confirm the renewal rate at checkout.

The honest summary: the annual plan looks very cheap in year one but renews near $312, and anyone generating a lot of images or using voice will buy tokens on top.

If you do subscribe, the sensible move is to take the discounted term, set a reminder before it renews, and decide then whether to keep it — the renewal is where the value case weakens, which is why DreamGF rates below Candy AI on value despite the cheaper entry.

Age "verification" is self-declared: you confirm you are 18 or over by entering the site — an age gate, not an ID check.

On privacy, DreamGF is operated from the EU, so it is covered by GDPR: you can request access to and erasure of your data and delete your account.

The privacy policy names DigitalOcean as its data-storage provider and says chats are retained, with the company able to review AI chat correspondence only if you report a problem.

The gaps matter for an intimate app. The privacy policy makes no encryption claim — there is no statement of in-transit, at-rest or end-to-end encryption — and there is no two-factor login.

No public data breach is on record as of October 2026. Because chats are stored and your preferences can be sensitive, treat anything you type as kept on the company's systems, keep your companion fictional, and leave real-world identifying detail out of the conversation.

It is also worth watching the billing trail: charges run through the adult-industry processors Segpay and Rocketgate, and DreamGF does not publish a card descriptor.

Consider DreamGF if you want a highly customisable, image-first AI girlfriend, you are happy using the browser (where the full 18+ experience lives), and you will take the discounted term with your eyes open about the renewal.

Skip it if you want emotional companionship rather than explicit roleplay (Replika fits better), you dislike token-metered features or the cheap-to-start, steep-to-keep pricing, you need PayPal or crypto, or you are privacy-sensitive (stored chats, no documented encryption, no 2FA).
