Quick Verdict

Good

Seeking is a long-running dating site, formerly SeekingArrangement, that now states in its own terms that sugar dating and all transactional relationships are prohibited.

It suits adults who want a paid, verification-led dating pool and accept the cost: Platinum is $150 per 30 days and Diamond $375, with no refunds.

It is a poor fit if you were looking for the old arrangement-style use, or if you want to message before paying.

Rated 6.1 out of 10 on documents and third-party consensus, held back by price, a short free tier and an Android listing rated 3.8 stars.

Seeking is a paid dating site, formerly known as SeekingArrangement, that now presents itself as "luxury" dating for success-minded adults. Its terms name Reflex Media, Inc. of Las Vegas as operator, alongside W8 Tech Limited and W8tech Cyprus Limited.

The decisive caveat: the site says "sugar dating and all forms of transactional relationships are strictly prohibited". This Seeking review is research-based, covers the current prices, and rates it 6.1 out of 10.

Seeking Review Summary

What we scoreScoreWhy this score
Features6.8Mandatory selfie check, optional ID and US background checks, web, Android and iPhone web app are documented; no 2FA or tier feature list is published.
Pricing4.5$150 per 30 days and $375 for Diamond are high for a service where free members cannot message, and the terms offer no refunds outside the EU, EEA and UK.
Usability6.8The Android listing averages 3.8 stars over 53.4K ratings, there is no iOS App Store app, and onboarding needs a verified selfie and approval; scored on documents and third-party consensus.
Safety6.2Verification and a no-sale data statement help, but 2FA is not documented, data may be kept after deletion, and 2021 press reports linked the site to a federal case; overall rating sits within 0.3 of the sub-score mean.
Content6.0The member pool is the operator's own claim of tens of millions; active size, gender balance and profile quality are not independently verified, so this score is low-confidence.

What Seeking Is Today, and What Changed

Seeking began in 2006 as SeekingArrangement. Its own FAQ says the platform was rebranded and relaunched under the current Seeking.com domain in 2019.

Reporting on the later repositioning describes a move from "sugar" wording towards "luxury dating" by 2022. That 2022 detail is reported, not confirmed on a primary page we could open.

The key change for readers is the policy. Both the homepage and the how-it-works page carry the same ban on sugar dating and transactional relationships. The terms also ban using the site as an escort, prostitute or for compensated companionship.

Older guides, including the previous version of this review, described allowances and pay-per-meet talk as the point of the site. That no longer matches the operator's documented rules, and this review does not describe or encourage it.

What You Get Free, and What Needs a Paid Plan

The how-it-works page says you sign up, upload a verified selfie, complete a profile, and connect once approved. Free members can view profiles. The page then says: "Upgrade to Platinum or Diamond and begin sending messages."

That means a free account is closer to a window than a usable dating profile. Older reviews said "Attractive" members, mostly women, could message free. That is reported by third-party sites only. The current official pages we read do not describe it.

The FAQ names three paid tiers: Gold, Platinum and Diamond. It does not say what each includes, and the Gold price is not published. Treat any feature list for a tier as unconfirmed until you see the checkout screen.

Seeking scored 6.1 out of 10 overall: features 6.8, pricing 4.5, usability 6.8, safety 6.2 and content 6.0, based on documents and third-party consensus.

What Seeking Costs in 2026, and Why It Is Hard to Leave

Seeking raised prices from 1 January 2026, in a post dated 31 October 2025. Platinum became $150 for 30 days (from $130) and $380 for 90 days (from $330). Diamond became $375 for 30 days (from $325).

Anyone subscribed before that date kept the old price while the subscription stayed active. A lapse means the new price applies on return. The older figures of $89.95 and $249.99 are no longer current.

PlanPriceEffective cost (est.)
Platinum, 30 days$150$150 per 30 days
Platinum, 90 days$380 billed upfrontabout $127 per 30 days
Diamond, 30 days$375$375 per 30 days

Subscriptions auto-renew, and the terms say all purchases are final with no refunds for unused time, except for EU, EEA and UK residents. Some US states give a three-day cancellation window.

The FAQ says cancelling stops recurring billing and the membership stays active until the next billing date. Because refunds are not offered, check the renewal date before paying for 90 days.

Seeking pricing: a free limited profile, Platinum at $150 per 30 days or $380 for 90 days, and Diamond at $375 per 30 days, from the operator price post of October 2025.

Verification, Safety and Scams

Seeking says selfie verification is mandatory, using a Selfie Liveness Check and a badge. Members can also choose ID verification and a background check. Background checks are offered to US members only.

The site is clear that members are not subject to mandatory background screening. A badge shows a person passed a check. It does not show intent or character.

A 2022 company blog post listed the ID check as a one-time $4.99 fee. We could not confirm the current fee. Two-factor authentication is not mentioned in the FAQ, privacy policy or safety pages we read.

Money-based scams are the main user-level risk on any paid dating site. The standard patterns are overpayment cheques followed by refund requests, upfront "verification fees", gift-card requests, and quick moves to WhatsApp or Telegram.

A simple rule applies: never send money, gift cards or crypto to someone you have not met, and keep early chat inside the platform.

Privacy, Billing and Data Deletion

The privacy policy says "Reflex does not sell the Personal Data of our users". It allows sharing with service providers, legal authorities and for fraud prevention.

It also says the company may keep some account information for analytics and record-keeping after deletion, and that inactive accounts are deleted after 365 days.

Data may be processed in the US and other countries, and the policy describes cookie use and says Do Not Track signals are not honoured.

You can delete an account permanently from Settings. The FAQ says profile information is then deleted and memberships are not refunded. Billing descriptors are not documented, so do not assume a discreet statement line.

Record and User Sentiment

In 2021, news outlets reported, per secondary coverage, that women involved in a US federal investigation had met a defendant through SeekingArrangement. This is reported coverage, not a finding about the company, and no charges or regulator action against the company were found.

No data breach or FTC action against Seeking turned up in this research. That is a result as of October 2026, not a guarantee.

On Google Play, the Android app is listed with 5M+ downloads and a 3.8 star average across 53.4K ratings, updated 4 October 2026. The listing claims over 46 million members; the FAQ says "tens of millions".

Both are the operator's own figures, which could not be verified.

How This Review Was Researched

This review was researched in October 2026 from the operator's terms of use, privacy policy, FAQ, how-it-works page, homepage and its dated price-change post. The Google Play listing and third-party press coverage were also read.

No account was created, no subscription was bought, and the site and app were never used directly.

Quality sub-scores therefore rest on documented features and third-party consensus, which gives them lower confidence than a review based on direct use. Facts not found on a primary page are labelled reported or unverified.

Who Should Consider Seeking, and Who Should Look Elsewhere

Seeking fits adults who want a verification-led dating pool, are happy to pay a high monthly fee, and accept that messaging needs a paid plan. It is not a place to negotiate payment for companionship, because the operator prohibits it.

If you want a lower price, Feeld has a free tier and a single paid plan. If you want discreet affair-style dating, Ashley Madison uses credits instead of a flat plan. For adult hookups, see AdultFriendFinder.

More options are in our Seeking alternatives ranking, and the Ashley Madison vs Seeking comparison covers one head-to-head.

Alternatives to Seeking: Feeld with a free tier and one paid plan, Ashley Madison with credits, and AdultFriendFinder with a paid Gold subscription.
Seeking pros and cons: verification and a clear operator on one side; high price, no refunds and a short free tier on the other.
