Secret Desires AI: the Data Leak You Should Know About

Secret Desires AI is a browser-based adult AI companion from Playhouse Media LLC (Dover, Delaware), also listed under Playhouse Media Trading Ltd. in Malta.

You pick or build a partner — appearance, personality, voice, interests — then chat, roleplay, generate images and short videos, exchange voice notes, and make real-time phone calls.

It keeps recent conversations detailed and summarizes older ones into "key memories," and partners can message you first. There is a genuine free tier: you can create a companion and start chatting without paying, with messages, voice calls and image generation expanded on paid plans.

There is no app — it runs in the mobile browser.

In November 2025, 404 Media's Samantha Cole reported that Secret Desires had left nearly two million images and videos reachable by anyone on the open web, stored in unprotected cloud storage containers.

According to that reporting (summarized by SAYS and Kursiv), the exposed data was organized in folders — roughly 930,000 "removed images," about 50,000 in a "faceswap" folder, and more than 220,000 short AI-generated "live photos."

The files reportedly included not just AI output but real people's personal details: names, workplaces, universities and social-media photos. The AI Incident Database logs it as Incident 1284.

Reporters said the storage was quietly secured about an hour after they flagged it, and the company did not publicly comment.

The most serious part is what was exposed.

404 Media reported that much of the material came from a "faceswap" feature the company previously sold that let users upload real faces to place onto pornographic bodies — non-consensual intimate imagery of real women, from "the most famous entertainers in the world" to "completely random people with very little digital footprint."

The company removed the feature during 2025, but the images it generated reportedly remained in storage until the exposure.

Secret Desires' privacy policy (last updated October 2024) says the company uses your data — including the contents of your communications — to "train our artificial intelligence/machine learning models," and describes no opt-out. De-identified data may be used "for any purpose."

The policy lists "safeguards" but does not mention encryption, and it uses Google Analytics. Charges appear on a statement as the discreet descriptor "SDAI."

Complaints mention a recent price rise and chat engines that get "expensive to run continuously." It is a small, mostly positive sample — and notably, none of it engages with the data-exposure report, which broke around the same time.
