Stripchat Review 2026: Cheap Tokens, Browser VR and an Open EU Case

Stripchat is a token-based live cam platform. Performers stream publicly for free and earn from tips, private shows, group shows, spy shows and albums that viewers buy with tokens.

The terms identify the operator as Technius Ltd, registered in Cyprus under number HE349515, and the site is governed by Cypriot law. The site launched in 2016 according to public records such as Wikipedia; the company does not publish a founding date itself.

The same company is the applicant in a European General Court case over how the EU classified Stripchat under the Digital Services Act, covered in the safety section below.

Stripchat's help center says token prices are shown only at checkout and that "the bigger the package, the higher the discount". The pack list below comes from a third-party price tracker (DatingScout, updated 20 Sep 2026), so treat it as reported rather than confirmed.

The 200-token pack is cheaper per token than the 540-token pack in that list, which suggests a promotional price or a data error. Check the checkout before assuming a pattern.

A sensible planning range is roughly 8 to 11 cents per token. Prices may differ by country, currency and VAT.

Show rates are set by each model, not by Stripchat. The home page filter runs from "8-12 tk" to "90+ tk" per minute, and the help center lists Private, Exclusive Private, Spy and Group shows as separate token uses.

The terms add that per-minute activities bill until you leave them, that prices may be rounded, and that when your tokens run out the show stops.

Estimates use 8 to 11 cents per token. They are arithmetic from reported pack prices, not quotes.

Spy and exclusive rates are also model-set, so there is no single published spy price. Spying is excluded from refunds entirely.

Stripchat's paid membership is called Ultimate, not Premium. The help center says it can be bought for one month, monthly, or annually, with the annual plan including two free months.

It states that purchasing Ultimate "doesn't automatically give you tokens". Reported prices are $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year; the perk list is not reproduced here because it is not stated in a source that could be read in full.

Because no tokens are bundled, the membership only pays off if its perks matter to you. It adds a fixed cost on top of whatever you spend on tokens.

Stripchat describes its VR cams as running in the browser, so a headset's built-in browser can open the site. A 2021 press release said Oculus Quest connected natively through the web browser, with the tip menu, toy reactions and private shows carried over to VR.

That is a company claim from 2021. Support for any specific headset beyond that could not be confirmed, so PlayStation VR in particular is unverified.

Other documented features include goals that let tippers become "King" of a room, offline tips with a message, and paid photo and video albums. Toy-synced tipping is a feature on the site, but which toy brands work was not verified.

Two-factor authentication is available for viewers and models, and is required for studio payout accounts.

There is no standalone Stripchat app in the App Store, Google Play or as an APK, according to the help center. It offers an installable web app through a browser banner instead.

The terms say your payment details may be charged automatically for recurring purchases you authorised.

If you switch on auto-refill, they will charge an amount equal to your last purchase when your balance falls below a threshold you choose, and you can turn it off in Settings.

On refunds, the terms say Stripchat may refund tokens for technical problems or a "provably unsatisfactory private show", and you must end that show as soon as possible. It will never refund tips or spying.

Tokens are also forfeited if your account is terminated for breaching the terms.

What appears on a card statement is not documented in the sources checked, and the processors the old review named could not be verified. Check with your card issuer if statement wording matters to you.

The privacy policy gives a right to request erasure of personal data and says Stripchat may keep some data where legal, regulatory or technical reasons require it. Content you bought, such as recorded shows, stays available to you even if the model's account is deleted.

Safety here splits into three issues: data handling, age checks, and billing.

The 2021 Database Exposure

In November 2021 an unsecured Elasticsearch cluster was exposed for several days. Reporting by The Record said it held about 65 million user records (emails, IP addresses, tip balances), 421,000 model records, 134 million transactions and 719,000 chat messages.

Stripchat attributed it to a reconfiguration error and said no passwords, payment data or ID documents were exposed.

EU Digital Services Act Proceedings

The European Commission designated Stripchat a Very Large Online Platform in December 2023. On 27 May 2025 it ended that designation because EU users had been below the 45 million threshold, and opened formal proceedings over minor protection and age verification the same day.

On 26 March 2026 the Commission reported preliminary findings that Stripchat breached the Digital Services Act. Press coverage of those findings says it found self-declaration of age, page blurring and content warnings do not effectively keep minors out, and that privacy-preserving age verification is needed.

These are preliminary findings, not a final decision. The company also has court challenges against the Commission, including case T-134/24 over the original designation.

What the Privacy Policy Says

The policy says Stripchat has "never sold and will never sell" personal data. It says trusted age-verification providers process verification data in real time and that this data is not accessible to Stripchat.

This review rests on documents checked in October 2026: Stripchat's terms, privacy policy, help center articles on tokens, Ultimate, apps, payouts and two-factor login, European Commission announcements, press reporting on the 2021 exposure, and a third-party price tracker for token packs.

No account was created, no tokens or subscriptions were bought, and the site was not used. Stream quality, performer availability and the VR experience are therefore not assessed first-hand.

Sub-scores rest on documented features and third-party records, so confidence is lower than for a review based on direct use. Package prices could not be read from the login-gated checkout.

The help center says models are "always paid the same amount ($0.05) per token", and that on average over 55 percent of all user spending is paid out.

At the reported pack prices that is a model share of roughly 45 to 60 percent of what a viewer paid, depending on the pack.

Payouts run weekly on Tuesdays. Listed methods include Paxum, Cosmo Payment and Yoursafe ($50 minimum), crypto ($50 or $100), SEPA, ACH and local wires, and Visa. International wires go out every other Tuesday with a $500 minimum, and all methods are free of charge.

Models verify with a government ID plus a photo holding that ID with a handwritten date and username. The help center says review usually takes about 24 hours. The old claim of a 60 percent studio tier is not in the sources found.

On token cost, the figures available place Stripchat in the same band as Chaturbate (about 8 to 11 cents per token) and below CAM4, whose reported card packs cost roughly 16 to 17 cents.

The old claim that Stripchat is about 10 percent dearer than Chaturbate was unsourced and the numbers do not support it.

Chaturbate has no official app either. Read the Chaturbate review and the Chaturbate vs Stripchat comparison for the detail.

If you want fixed, published show rates, BongaCams lists private at 60 tokens a minute. See Stripchat vs BongaCams, or the Stripchat alternatives ranking and free cam sites list.
