CamSoda Review 2026: Free Rooms, 60% Performer Share and Web-Only Access
What CamSoda's tokens cost, why its published rates and roughly 60% performer share stand out, and why there is no app.

Quick Verdict
Very Good
CamSoda is a reasonable pick if you want to watch public rooms for free and spend tokens only when a tip or private show appeals.
Its help center publishes the token packs, the per-minute private-show ranges and the roughly 60% performer share, which is more openness than many cam sites offer.
The weak points are cost control, because each performer sets the private rate and credits are final sale, and the lack of any native app. The operating company is also not named in its terms or privacy policy.
Set a token budget first and it is good value; if you want refunds, a flat monthly price or an app, look elsewhere.

CamSoda is a freemium live cam site, started in 2014, where public rooms are free to watch and income comes from viewers spending tokens on tips, private shows and extras.
This CamSoda review is built from its help center, terms, privacy policy and press records, and it is aimed at viewers working out what it really costs.
The decisive caveat is that private shows are billed per minute at rates each performer sets, from 6 to 120 tokens. The verdict: a free way to browse, with variable costs once you start paying.

How CamSoda Works and What Is Free
Public broadcasts on CamSoda are free to watch, according to its private-show help page, and tips are optional. Tokens are prepaid virtual currency used to tip in public shows, start private or Cam2Cam sessions, unlock premium content and buy fan club or exclusive media.
Show types are documented as public, private (one-on-one, billed per minute), exclusive (the performer goes offline to everyone else) and spy or group shows that others can watch but not interact with.
Cam2Cam, where you switch on your own webcam, depends on whether the performer allows it.
The help center mentions no app, and no app-store listing was found, so CamSoda should be treated as a web service only. Press coverage also describes it as an early adopter of interactive toys and 360-degree virtual-reality streams (Wikipedia, reported).
What a CamSoda Token Costs
The help center lists seven token packs and says typical packages start at about $0.08 per token. It adds that final prices vary by country because of VAT, exchange rates and local rules, and that the final price appears at checkout.
| Pack | Price | Per token (before bonus) | Bonus listed |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 tokens | $6.99 | about 14.0 cents | None |
| 100 tokens | $10.99 | about 11.0 cents | None |
| 200 tokens | $20.99 | about 10.5 cents | 5% |
| 400 tokens | $39.99 | about 10.0 cents | 9% |
| 800 tokens | $69.99 | about 8.8 cents | 20% |
| 1,205 tokens | $99.99 | about 8.3 cents | 24% |
| 3,100 tokens | $249.99 | about 8.1 cents | 27% |
The smallest pack is the most expensive per token, so a small first purchase costs about 75% more per token than the largest pack. Per-token figures here are our arithmetic from the listed prices and ignore bonus tokens.
The help center says CamSoda adds no hidden platform fees, though your bank may charge foreign-transaction fees. Optional "Easy Re-ups" automatically buy tokens when your balance runs low, so leave it off if you want a hard limit.
Private Shows, Spy Mode and Premium
Private-show prices are set by each performer, not by CamSoda. The help center gives these ranges and treats one token as about $0.10, depending on the bundle.
| Show type | Tokens per minute | Dollars per minute |
|---|---|---|
| Private | 6–120 | $0.60–$12 |
| Exclusive private | 12–150 | $1.20–$15 |
| Spy mode | 6–90 | $0.60–$9 |
At the mid-range of 30 tokens a minute, a 10-minute private is 300 tokens, roughly $30 at about 10 cents per token (est.). The help center says typical privates last 5 to 20 minutes.
Billing is per minute and the session ends automatically when your balance hits zero. If a performer disconnects before a pre-paid minimum ends, the unused time is refunded automatically; time already used is not refundable.
Premium is an optional $19.95 a month. It includes an ad-free interface, private messaging, anonymous tipping and 200 bonus tokens once. For a viewer-side checklist, see is CamSoda safe.
How Much Performers Keep
The CamSoda model-earnings page lists the split. Performers keep about 60% of tips and private shows, up to 65% of exclusive shows for top-tier models, and 55% to 60% of fan club and media sales.
The page says the platform share covers payment processing, affiliate commissions, support, compliance and hosting. Payouts go out weekly or twice a month depending on method, with minimums of $20 to $50 for Paxum and ACH, $100 for wire and $50 for Payoneer.
The same page quotes monthly earning bands, from $100 to $500 for casual use up to $20,000 to $50,000 or more for the top 1%. Those are the company's own marketing figures and were not independently verified.
For the performer side, see how much cam models make and cam sites to work for.
Age Checks, ID and 2257 Records
The terms say users must be at least 18 or the age of majority where they live, whichever is higher. Suspected minors are terminated and reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Anyone who wants to receive tips must submit a government photo ID and a selfie, per the help center and privacy policy.
The privacy policy says the check may use Jumio or Incode and can generate a 3D face-geometry scan, retained for the seven years the 18 U.S.C. 2257 record-keeping rules require.
The help center says automated checks take up to an hour and manual ones 12 to 48 hours.
The terms warn performers of their 2257 duties, and the safety page says CamSoda follows 2257, GDPR, CCPA and the ASACP and RTA child-protection standards. Those are the company's own statements.
This review found no document describing a routine ID check for ordinary viewers, and rules vary by location.
Payments, Privacy and Record
The help center lists Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Maestro and JCB, PayPal, cryptocurrency (Bitcoin and Ethereum are named), PaySafeCard, iDeal, Sofort, PIX, BLIK, bank transfers and some gift cards, varying by country. Billing runs through processors including Epoch, Segpay, CCBill, Rocketgate and Paygarden.
The safety page says statements show "securelive" or similar, or the biller's name, rather than adult wording. Exact wording can differ by processor.
The terms say credits are "final sale", are forfeited if an account is terminated, and that disputes go to American Arbitration Association arbitration in Miami-Dade County, Florida, with class actions waived.
The privacy policy says it uses Microsoft Clarity session analytics (not for EEA or UK users) and shares de-identified data with advertising networks.
Searches in October 2026 found no data breach, regulator action or lawsuit against CamSoda. The safety page only advises turning on two-factor authentication "if available", so it is not confirmed as a feature.
Strengths and Trade-Offs
The chart summarizes what the documents support. The main strengths are free public viewing, openly published prices and payout split, and broad payment options.
The trade-offs are variable private rates, final-sale credits, no app and an unnamed operating company.
How This Review Was Researched
This review rests on desk research completed in October 2026. Sources checked were the CamSoda home page, help-center pages on tokens, private-show pricing, safety, performer earnings and verification, the terms (last modified 7 May 2025), the privacy policy and a Wikipedia entry.
No account was created, no tokens or Premium were bought, and the platform itself was not used. The sub-scores below therefore rest on documented features and third-party consensus, which means lower confidence than first-hand use would give.
A Trustpilot profile for the site was not viewable, so no third-party rating is quoted.

The help center links a cancellation guide for the account or Premium subscription. The terms say any credits left are forfeited when an account is closed or terminated. Data deletion steps were not verified, so contact support@camsoda.com.
