What Heated Affairs shares with AdultFriendFinder, why only paid Gold members can message, and the breach record behind its parent.

Quick Verdict
Average
Heated Affairs is a long-running affair and casual-dating site that shares its platform, terms and billing with AdultFriendFinder. It suits adults who want that style of site and are happy to pay for Gold, since only premium members can message.
Its weaknesses are documented rather than guessed: no ID or background checks, final-sale auto-renewing plans, and a parent company with a large 2016 network breach on record.
Most readers will find the larger sister site or a dedicated affair platform a safer first choice, and this one fits as a secondary option.

Heated Affairs (heatedaffairs.com) is an affair and casual-encounter dating site run by Various, Inc., part of FriendFinder Networks. This Heated Affairs review is based on official documents and third-party reports, not an account.
Joining is free and a free Standard membership exists, but paid Gold is needed to message. The site does no ID or criminal background checks, and its parent company had a very large breach in 2016.
Verdict: a functioning but unverified, final-sale site best treated as a secondary option.

Heated Affairs Review Summary
| What we score | Score | Why this score |
|---|---|---|
| Features | 6.3 | Search, messaging, hotlist, chat and live content are described in help pages and third-party reviews; no depth was measured directly (help centre, DatingScout). |
| Pricing | 5.5 | Reported $14.95–$24.95 a month, login-gated, auto-renewing and non-refundable, with trackers disagreeing on price (DatingScout Sept 2026; terms). |
| Usability | 5.5 | Web-only with no official app and no public view of prices or tier limits; interface quality is not independently measured, so the score sits near the middle. |
| Safety | 5.0 | No ID or background checks and a parent with 2015 and 2016 breaches on record; Heated Affairs was not named in the breach reporting checked (terms, help, TechCrunch, Have I Been Pwned). |

What Heated Affairs Is and Who Runs It
The homepage describes the site as "Married Dating, Cheating Dates & Discreet Encounters". Its footer names Various, Inc. at 800 West El Camino Real, Mountain View, California, with Ventnor Enterprise Limited for the UK and Pixojay Ltd for the EU.
It carries a "Copyright 1996-2026 Various, Inc." line and a FriendFinder Networks link.
The Terms of Use are the shared FriendFinder text and still refer to "Various's AdultFriendFinder", so treat this as a sister site on the same platform rather than a separate product. The terms were last updated on 5 September 2024.
The homepage also shows a notice that asks visitors to think about an affair before joining, and suggests talking to a partner, counselling or consensual non-monogamy instead. That is the operator's own framing, not ours.
What Heated Affairs Really Costs
The help centre says standard membership is "always free" and that paid packages give "unlimited access". It does not list what each tier unlocks on a public page, and DatingScout reports that only premium members can send messages (checked Oct 2026).
Prices sit behind sign-up. DatingScout lists the figures below, updated 20 September 2026.
| Gold plan | Total | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| 1 month (reported) | $24.95 | $24.95 |
| 3 months (reported) | $62.85 | $20.95 |
| 12 months (reported) | $179.40 | $14.95 |
Older write-ups for sister sites quote $39.95, $80.85 and $239.40 for the same lengths. No current source we found confirms those for Heated Affairs, so the figures may differ by promotion or region.
Credit packs are reported at 200 credits for $3, 500 for $6 and 1,000 for $10. The terms describe credits as prepaid funds for pay-per-use services and say they cannot be redeemed for cash.
Auto-Renewal, Refunds and Cancelling
The terms say the company automatically renews paid subscriptions on the day they expire, for a period equal to the original one. Renewal can be at the price then in effect, and promotions may use different renewal periods.
The help centre gives the steps to switch it off. Log in, open the account menu, choose Billing History & Credit Card Info, and click OFF under product status.
Refunds are narrow. The terms say "All purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by law" and that there is no refund for unused days. Residents of several US states, including California, Colorado, Illinois and Ohio, have a three-business-day written cancellation right for dating services.
Two other terms matter to light users. Accounts not logged into for 180 days can be charged a maintenance fee of 500 points or 50 tokens a month from remaining funds, and promotional credits expire after the same period.
The terms also require individual binding arbitration under Florida law and waive class actions.
Breach History and Regulator Record
Heated Affairs has not been named in the breach reporting we checked, but its parent network has a long record. In 2015 the AdultFriendFinder site was breached, and Have I Been Pwned lists about 3.9 million records.
In October 2016, reporting by TechCrunch described a network-wide breach of more than 412 million accounts across FriendFinder properties, including over 300 million on AdultFriendFinder. Reporting said some passwords were stored in plaintext or weak hashes.
Heated Affairs was not among the sites named in that coverage.
In December 2007 the FTC announced a settlement with Various, Inc. over sexually explicit pop-up ads, without a money penalty. These events are past, and the site's current security measures are not independently documented.
For a site people use because they want discretion, that history is a real consideration. Use a dedicated email address and do not reuse a password.
Verification, Fake Profiles and Member Numbers
The help centre says the site "only requires a valid email address" and that it cannot do extensive background checks. The footer states that it does not conduct criminal background screening, and the terms say it has no obligation to screen or verify users. No ID or photo verification is documented.
The homepage notes that "persons appearing in photographs and videos may not be actual members". Take that line at face value when judging profiles.
DatingScout reports 30 million members, about 40,000 new ones a month and a 70/30 male-female split. These are third-party figures that are not independently verified and may count inactive accounts.
The terms include clauses on beta AI features, such as AI friends and chatbots. The documents do not say which are live on Heated Affairs, so check the settings.
Safer meetups follow the usual rules: message in the platform first, meet in public, tell a friend and be wary of any request for money.
How It Compares With Its Alternatives
On the same platform, the larger AdultFriendFinder is the obvious comparison; see also our Heated Affairs vs AdultFriendFinder comparison. They share operator, terms and billing, so the choice is mostly about the niche and member pool.

Also see our list of discreet dating apps for other options.
Who It Suits and Who Should Skip It
It suits adults who are comfortable with a dated, desktop-style FriendFinder site, understand that Gold is needed to message, and will set a calendar reminder to stop auto-renewal.
It is a poor fit for anyone who wants verified members, a refund option, an official app, or lower exposure to a company with past breaches. Anyone seeking only a free experience will hit the paywall at messaging.
How This Review Was Researched
This review rests on documents checked in October 2026: the Heated Affairs homepage, footer, Terms of Use (version dated 5 September 2024) and help centre, plus the App Store search API for official apps.
Breach and regulator facts come from Have I Been Pwned, TechCrunch and the FTC. Reported prices and member figures come from DatingScout, because the upgrade page is login-gated. The privacy policy loads in a script-driven page and was not read in full.
No account was created, no subscription bought and the service was never used. Sub-scores therefore rest on documented features and third-party reports, and carry lower confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, it is a live site run by Various, Inc., part of FriendFinder Networks, with published terms and a US address. Legit does not mean verified: members only need a valid email, and the site says pictured people may not be actual members.
Joining is free and the help centre says standard membership is always free. Messaging is reported to need paid Gold, so the free tier is mainly for browsing and profile setup.
DatingScout lists Gold at $24.95 for 1 month, $62.85 for 3 months and $179.40 for 12 months, updated 20 September 2026. Credit packs run from $3 to $10. Prices are login-gated and may vary.
Log in, go to the account menu, open Billing History & Credit Card Info, and click OFF under product status. The help centre gives these steps. Do it before the term ends, because renewal charges are final.
Generally no. The terms say purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by law, with no refund for unused days. Some US states give a three-business-day cancellation right for dating services.
Heated Affairs was not named in the breach reporting we checked. Its parent network had a 2015 AdultFriendFinder breach (about 3.9 million records) and a 2016 breach of more than 412 million accounts across FriendFinder sites.
DatingScout reports the descriptor as FFNHelp.com*FRIENDF. That does not name Heated Affairs but does reference FriendFinder, so it is not fully neutral. We could not confirm it from official pages.
We found no official iOS or Android app from the operator in the App Store search. One third-party review mentions an iOS app; treat it as unconfirmed and use the website.
It does not verify identity: the help centre says only a valid email is required. We could not confirm account-deletion steps from the pages we read, so ask customer service or check the settings.
Bottom Line
Heated Affairs scores 5.7/10 (average). It's best for: adults who already want a FriendFinder-style affair or hookup site and accept unverified profiles.
